don’t let it be clubbed into dank submission.
be on the watch.
there are ways out.
there is a light somewhere.
it may not be much light but
it beats the darkness.
be on the watch.
the gods will offer you chances.
know them.
take them.
you can’t beat death but
you can beat death in life, sometimes.
and the more often you learn to do it,
the more light there will be.
your life is your life.
know it while you have it.
you are marvelous
the gods wait to delight
in you.

IL CUORE CHE RIDE

La tua vita è la tua vita,
non lasciare che sia bastonata fino all'umidiccia
sottomissione,
stai in guardia.

Ci sono vie d'uscita.
C'è luce da qualche parte, può
non essere molta luce,
ma sconfigge la tenebra.
Stai in guardia,
gli dei ti offriranno delle occasioni.
Riconoscile, prendile.
Non puoi sconfiggere la morte,
ma puoi sconfiggere la morte nella vita qualche volta,
e quanto più spesso tu
impari a farlo,tanta più luce
ci sarà.

La tua vita è la tua vita, sappilo mentre
ce l'hai.
Sei meravigliosa, gli dei aspettano
di compiacersi in te
